My money is on finding the brake fluid in the power-brake booster. I had the
same thing happen on my Rover 2000TC. My Dad and I kept pouring brake fluid in
and could not figure out were it was going. The brake system was all spread
out on the Rover. The master cylinder was on the left, above the pedal. The
vaccum booster was ont he right of the car, and the four-way union for the
linesto the wheels was on the right front, just aft of the parking lights! In
a hunch, I unbolted the vacuum booster and gave it a shake. Slosh.
