I've asked this before, but I don't think it ever made out. Or else
someboy replied and it bounced. Or I'm being ignored?

Where in the #$%^& is (now was I guess) this place? I grew up in San
Leandro and practically lived on E 14th: cruising and checking out all
the neat new and used car stores. All the good stuff from Oakland to
Hayward was on E 14th.

I can rember the Studebaker/Mercedes dealer, the Alfa/Sunbeam dealer,
the Lotus dealer and even the Borgward store. My Healey was originally
purchased from the BMC dealer on E 14th in San Leandro (it still wears
the original yellow on black plate in the original dealer frame),
but I can't remember any salvage yards on that street: I always went to
"junk yard row" in Oakland (SL Blvd).

Where were they and how long were they there??
