Well I'm back from my vacations which was a total blast except
for the E-type dissapointment. I went and saw the car it was a
`68 3.8 series I in above average shape with no rust. The leather
was showing signs of hardening and had cracked at various places but
the engine ran fine. The suspension was a disaster though alongwith the
shocks because the car strayed like crazy but that wasn't much noticeable
when you floored the gas and passed everyone like they were standing
still. The reason I couldn't bring it back was because of an antique
export limitations act that prevents anyone from taking valuable
stuff out. I think the reason is because of loss of valuable treasures
from the country to the west in the past. So I had to let it pass for
the moment. I aint given up completely though since my family has
gotten some of valuable contacts back recently and that might just
help out. There were a lot of other cars that I saw that were so ugly
that they became cute. To top the list was Humber (anyone know what
British company made that), the next was a Morris (Austin?) Prefect
that had its turn signal light flip open out of the pillars between
the front and back door. Pretty dorky looking but cute. There were
of course my old favourites the Morris Mini Minor, and the '61 Hillman
someting....Minx probably. Well gotta go now and attend to this Jet lag
biz. Talk to y'all later.

PS. Jim M. thanks for transferring me to the new machine while I was
gone. Hope it wasn't too much trouble.
