Look at the ROI.

If we give him the benefit of the doubt and assume a 28% reduction in
fuel usage and further use $3.00 gal as the price of gas, you won't
break even on your investment until you've driven over 64,000 miles.
Moreover, labor and maintenance aren't even factored in. Definitely not
worth it.

This would be interesting to try on a Bricklin.

Yup, webre feeling your pain. Gas prices are fluctuating, but in
general,
theybre still going up. Chances are, unless therebs an untapped
resource
under all of New England, itbs going to stay that way, too. Getting to
work
is one thing, but how will the prices affect your decision to make that
cross-country trek to a national meet in your classic?

Gear Vendors has one solution. They offer auxiliary overdrive kits for
your
automatic or manual transmission that, in most cases, bolt directly to
the
main transmission. The kits can lower engine rpm and increase fuel
economy by
as much as 20-28 percent.

Although Gear Vendors offers a wide array of applications for GM, Mopar
and
Ford, the example shown here fits Rolls-Royce Ghosts, and according to
the
company, is one of the few products legal in restoration event judging
and
competition in many classes. The Rolls-Royce kit costs $3,595.

For more information, call Gear Vendors at 800-999-9555, or visit their
Web
site.
