Mine are grounded at the regulator bolt. Over the years this hole may have
become enlarged so a previous owner may have installed a different sized
bolt. The 2 easy  fixes are cut a slot in the ring and expand it to fit the
new bolt OR use the proper sized bolt to hold on the regulator and use a
"backup" nut inside the wheel well.
