Well, I used seats from a camaro, circa 1992'ish. Chopping off a bit
of the ends of the rails with a sawzall and welding on bolts made them
fit okay. The seat belt holder doesnt fit (would be crushed by the door)
and I have a little trouble adjusting the seat on one side, but on the
upside they fold down and are alot more comfortable than the original
Bricklin seats.

Probably not the best alternative. My ultimate plan is fiat seats, because
they look cool, have lots of features, and you can get some nice aftermarket
leather for them. You could also get the same leather to do the rest of
your interior.
