This sounds like the IGN section of your switch is bad or has a bad
connection. The switch switches three things, Ignition, Accessories and
Start. We all what start does, the ACC terminal (brown wire) is used for
things that come on with the key in run or acc, like radio, wipers, heater
etc. The Ign terminal (pink wire) is used for things you only want on when
the car is running like the ignition coil, fans and pumps. check the
connection on the pink wire before you change the switch it may be bad or
corroded. The color of the wires are for typical GM's and bricks and may be
different on other cars.
