Round # 4:
A big thanks to Mark Watson and his trusty sidekick Butch Garcia for chairing
yesterday's event and designing another well received course. Although the
heavens opened up at 3:30 in the afternoon, the majority of autocrossers
enjoyed a dry course and even some warm early afternoon sun.
Round # 5, April 24th:
Originally scheduled for Crow's Landing, this event was canceled.
The National Tour & Round # 5:
The Tour begins on April 29th with competition on Saturday and Sunday.
Participation on Sunday will count as round # 5 in the SFR Championship Series.
The Tour staff will be responsible for chairing and course design
responsibilities.
On another subject:
On Bryan's recommendation, I took our new Mini over to Motorsport Alignment in
Hayward today. Jack Chew, the proprietor, has apparently been doing alignments
for autocrossers for many years. I was quite impressed with his knowledge and
willingness to discuss the pros and cons of various alignment options. His
pricing is very reasonable and Jack is also a very pleasant person to do
