Don't know what year it was but, the memory of watching Rindt on TV "flying"
the Monaco course in a high-winged (Lotus, I think) F1 vehicle will still be
with me for a while.
For those with more recent memories, of dramatic moves, Zanardi's last lap,
turn 8/8A race-winning pass of Herta at Laguna in a CART race, just a few
years back, was the equal of Rindt'd dramatics but, for only one corner.
(Zanardi took the outside going into turn 7 then "out-braked" Herta, on the
inside, going into 8, only to be in so-hot he "shot" past Herta
straight-ahead and over the berm on the outside of 8. Herta, only slightly
off line, negotiated 8/8A on the road while Zanardi negotiated the same
direction changes in the dirt and came out ahead of, a probably incredulous,
Herta with s--- flying everwhere.)
