Don,

When I had the Lexus I took it to Clutch something or
other (may have been Clutch Masters but I'm not sure
(could have been Clutch Express, both are actually
businesses although I can't find any listings in
Sunnyvale although I'm almost certain that they're
still there)) in Sunnyvale to get the clutch done. I
though the price was VERY reasonable (they specialize
in clutches and do nothing else) and they did a good
job. They don't use OEM parts (I think they use the
same manufacturer that makes the Corvette's clutch)
but the parts that they did use seemed to hold up
fine. My housemate also took his Civic there as well,
no problems.

Note that the pedal pressure on the clutch will most
likely be A LOT lighter than what you're used to from
the factory. With the Lexus this was really nice. The
factory clutch on the Lexus was so hard to depress
that had I not had strong legs from cycling the silly
thing would have been completely undrivable in heavy
traffic. That being said the clutch still seemed
adequate and I couldn't get it to slip. They have a
good warranty as well.

Another bonus about them is that they'll install 3rd
party parts that you order off the net (or wherever)
of course the catch is that they won't warranty the
work in that scenario which is understandable.

Cheers, Joe
