Tire Size Choices

Gang,

My car is setup for Stock Category, which means factory diameter and width 
wheels. However, I only see 225/50R16 as being available for my car in DOT 
Competition rubber. My concern is that this tire is too tall and perhaps too 
wide for the car -- some 225 width tires WILL rub.

Does anyone make shorter 16" tires that are DOT Competition level for autox?
