I'll chime in here w/ my 89 Civic SI. I put a used set of Illuminas on it
at 70K and they still feel OK at 230K. It is to be noted that I have only
autocrossed the car about 4x and my commute is 30 mi of highway, but the OEM
struts felt bad at 70K.
