Well, looks like 12 entrants chose not to do their
required work assignment Saturday. Of those, 9 were
Rookies.

Just in case there are any rookies out there who
are not aware of the work obligation, here it is again:

- If you run, you promise to work.
- Work is not dependent on whether you do well or not, or
whether you care about points -- all are expected to work.
- If something comes up that makes it impossible to work
your assigned group, talk with the event chair, and they will
usually show flexibility in letting you change -- occasionally
even to work another event twice rather than this one.
- If you don't work, you get no points, and no times reported
either -- we just report you as a shirker -- that's what DNW means.
- We remember who DNW, and we will refuse you further entry
   for repeated offenses.

- When you register, you sign up to work on a sheet. This shows
the group and assignment you agree to work.
- When the previous group is ending, workers will be called on the PA
- Go to the trailer and get your name checked off this list to get your
credit.
- You HAVE to sign up for the group assigned to your class, otherwise
you didn't work. Talk with the event chair to change your assignment.

If you didn't work because you didn't understand what was going on, don't
sweat it -- you know what to do now, just be sure to do it.

If you did work and somehow didn't get signed off, you got some splainin'
to do. Pat Kelly is the person to start with.
