Howdy,

So a couple of things. First and foremost, I'm on digest, so I responded as
soon as I saw the mistake made by smokerbros.
Second, it is truly fascinating how smokerbros seems bent on totally
SQUASHING all discussion of the proposed changes.

Third, I wrote the below comments, not bhaden.

Fourth, I have thought about them, and I will stand by them. If someone
wants to whine about something being illegal then they can whine.

Or, they can protest.

The PC will make a ruling, which most folks realize is just a BS starting
point, and everyone will gather their docs and make the real arguments to
the appeals committee.

Which is a GREAT thing.

I raced oval track for a period of time. The tear down bond of SCCA is
miniscule. The bad will and bad thoughts and excuses for not stepping up and
putting their reputations where their mouths are is immense if allowed
excuse.

Is this a huge problem for Street Prepared and Prepared, or is this a
burro-cracky looking for a place to institute controls?

How would I have documentation as to YOUR bore and stroke? When I protest,
I
have to post a teardown bond for all those things to be looked at. If I'm
wrong, I lose the bond. That's pretty serious. Yes, some protests are
fishing
expeditions. The protestor "just knows" something isn't right about a car.
He
shouldn't have to just keep getting his butt kicked until he can prove
what's
illegal. But, if he is willing to put his money where his mouth is, the
protestor should supply a minimum of documentation as to what the car
actually
consists of...
