Since we are on the topic of Pro points, I thought I'd bring up another one
that's be nagging in my craw for awhile. Overall Championship.
Back in the day, the Overall Championship included those points you
accumulated in class, as well as Challenge points. Now, its just Challenge.
So someone could win the Overall without winning their class championship.
In fact, this has happened a couple of times. Sounds weird to me. You are
the Overall Champ but you can't even win your class?
In fact, to give yourself the best chance at overall, the current system
encourages you to try and finish a close second in class comp, then let it
all hang out in the Challenge. That's assuming you are good enough to have
won the class anyway. Which ought to be the case for the Overall Champ.
Does anyone else see this an an area where the old way might be better than
the new way?
