Re: the question the other day about the WRX and AutoX

I have a WRX wagon and autoX it. So far I like it.

The first thing you need to do is get rid of the tires. The stock Re92's
don't have enough stick to be competitive against anything.
The ideal thing to do, is get a second set of rims and some AutoX compound
racing tires. If money is not an issue, get Housers ( Spelling ), if it is
an issue, get Kumho V700's.

If you dont want a second set of rims, get Falken Azenis tires on the stock
rims.

If you want to move out of GS and into ESP, get some coilovers. The M2
units are awesome in that they make the car a really good daily driver and
weekend racer.

If you want to move up again, get the TurboXS Stage one kit and an up pipe.
This will allow the motor to make significantly more power ( 275hp or so ),
while lowering the RPM the turbo becomes active at.

Ultimately, the WRX is an easy forgiving car to drive in AutoX's and in the
right hands, can be very competitive.
