FS - 1986 Porsche 944 -- salvage rebuild, stolen from a previous owner =
and stripped. Still has a salvage title, which is a bonus for tax =
purposes. It's listed in the Porsche Club magazine as a "Project Car."
The car itself has about 105,000 miles, but a replacement engine with =
less than 1000 miles on it. Some belts replaced, as well as a new =
battery and starter. It needs motor mounts ($75 ea) and Autothority =
says it needs a cam belt. Driven to work occasionally, and runs well. =20
It looks good from a distance and the body is in good shape, but will =
eventually need a paint job. It has the "S" body kit, Goodyear Eagles =
and passed Virginia safety and emissions inspections this spring. $6000 =
invested, but would sell for $4000.
