What about Shirley Muldowney? The first 'REAL' professional female driver
with many Top Fuel championships. Have you seen the movie,"Heart Like a
Wheel?" Good movie. I know, it is drag racing, but she still opened many
doors.
I would also add Rita Wilsey, one of the best Corvette drivers ever,
including the men. I truly enjoyed getting my butt kicked by her on a
regular basis, made me a much better driver and kept my head from getting to
big. Sadly, she retired from the world of autocrossing.
An up and coming driver, Leslie Cohen, has the talent and the commitment,
but just needs to put it all together (and a bigger helmet :) :) :)
;)........She has been flying in 'MARK's' Z06, and could be a serious threat
in SS at nationals....Jinx....Jinx....:) :) Baulk....everybody rotate....a
little volleyball humor....have to be there......
