New England Region Announces Novice Program Sponsorship for 2001
The New England Region of the Sport Car Club of America announces FunHondas
will be sponsoring the NER SCCA Solo II
Novice program for 2001. Chang Ho Kim, owner of FunHondas and former NER
Solo II Chairman feels that the Solo II novice program is where the growth
of the SCCA comes from. "I had two goals for NER Solo II while I was
chairman. I wanted to see the autocrossers from NER dominate in the country
and I wanted to see the program grow." By supporting the novice program
this will help to accomplish those goals.
FunHondas located in Maynard, MA is a full service repair shop dedicated to
helping the community with any automotive need. Despite the name, FunHondas
works on many different makes and models of cars. Many of the autocrossers
use FunHondas service for mounting and balancing of race tires, simple
maintenance, and car setup and advice. Others have used FunHondas for total
car care including clutch, timing belt, brakes, transmissions, strut
replacement and general repair. Chang can often be found working late into
the night and will accommodate his clients schedule as best as possible.

Chang Ho Kim is a Nationals trophy winner and avid autocrosser dedicated to
the sport. He started autocrossing in 1990, was Regional Class champion in
1991 GS, 1996 CSP, 1997 SS. In recent years he has sought out the best
competition in the region often quoting Andy Bettencourt, "You can't be the
best, unless you beat the best."
