Has anyone ever tried to remove a rule from the rule book? What was
involved?
At the time that the solo board was concerned regarding the Sucker Cars in
A-Mod, several new ruled magically showed up in the rule book.
Including:
No Skirts sealing the ground (Very difficult to define, but B-Mod has done
it for years. At speed they rub all the time in B-Mod)
No Movable Aerodynamic Devices (Very difficult to define given that most of
the most of the wings in A and B-Mod can be moved by Hand as they are quite
flimsy by nature. Articulated wings are cheap to do and would be a blast to
watch and develop)
No traction control (You can't control traction, only acceleration and HP,
way too hard to define and way too easy to hide into the blackboxes)
No ABS (My moms mini van has them. Cut me a brake.)
Everyone that I talk to in A-Mod has no idea where these Rules come from.
Al we want to do is build the safest, most drivable/predictable and best
autocross that we can build.
