was hurst shifter an option in 1999?

Was the Hurst shifter an option on the 99 Z28?  If it was,  I can add
one to my recently purchased 99 1LE and still be legal in F-stock,
right?  It would have to be the older one though and not the new Hurst
billet model, correct?
