Another Classification question

Since you folks are so helpful and FAST in replying, another ques.

My friend might want to race for the 1st time next Sun. at the Cal Club
event @ Hollywood Park.  He has a Mitsu. 3000 GT, N/A.  Am I correct in
assuming that he goes to ASP if he modifies his air intake with new ducting
and a K& N cone filter?
