I've been furiously looking for a trailer to tow a recently purchased Spitfire
racecar. My problem has been the clearance at the front dam, underneath the
car (about 2.5 ") and narrow track (44" between tires) it would not even fit on
a Uhaul car transport, I could get about a half a tire on each ramp with only
the outer part of the tire on the ramp. I've looked at the utility trailers
with the wooden floor and the steel mesh ramps, I figure I need a 7 X 14 at
least the car is 5 ' 7" by about 12' 8". The car open trailers are not made for
the Spit and the enclosed car trailers start at $5100. Anybody else find a
solution other than custom made?
