Well, ahh, yes. Honda did that in 1968 or so. The car was called
the Honda 600.

Fine, as long as you didn't need to go any faster than a 600cc
motorcycle engine could make a car go.

Lots of backyard types got a bit irate when they discovered that
you had to replace the whole crankshaft when the main bearings
wore out.  Which was somewhat earlier than you'd expect. 8<0

Guess there was a reason the PO sold it so cheap, huh?
