On or about 10:57 AM 6/22/1999 , dg50@daimlerchrysler.com did say:

are of

Uh, for the record, I didn't just "pick a side and fight it" like some sort
of "high school debate club". I voiced my opinion. I backed up my opinion.
Yes, i said that team.net was for debate, what i said was that it's not the
equivilent of writing to the SEB or that those of us that voice our
opinions on Team.net are not "the dark inner workings of some conspiracy to
get the SEB to screw DSMs" If you're going to bring personal conversation
on the list, get your shit straight. My opinion is that the turbo is part
of the design of the motor. My opinion is that I do not feel the DSM is not
an overdog as it is. My opinion is that while the DSMs are getting screwed,
the rules needed clarification. My opinion is that while you think the
clarification targets DSMs and DSMs only, i think your "solution" targets
DSMs and DSMs only. Why is this a problem? Think Sub-Frame Connectors and
how the pony-car folks were told repeatedly that rules would not be made
for the the whole of SP for one set of cars in one class. And no this isn't
a "we didn't get what we wanted so you can't have what you wanted" it just
happens to be the clearest example to illustrate the point, so don't even
go there.

A couple of other opinions: I think you're an immature self absorbed punk.
When I tried to meet you face to face and try to remove the anonymity of
the net so that maybe we could talk about this in a reasonable adult
manner, you immediately copped attitude and started making accusations of
"political" motives. Ian was cool, we talked, Fedja as always was cool we
had a good time. You on the other hand were an unsociable prick, and i
wasn't the only one that noticed. I think that you do the entire DSM
community a disservice in being it's loudest voice, I suggest you leave
that to someone who can act like an adult.
