So why don't we bump the Miatas to A-Stock? They dominate the class,
and there have yet to be shown any other cars in the class that can
compete. :-)
I know that's an extreme example, but the point is that there will very
likely always be a car or two that is going to be a little quicker than
the rest in a given class. Why not bump the X1/9 into CSP? Obviously
it's the dominant car in DSP. And no, I don't advocate that in the
least. Yes, the X1/9 has proven to be a dominant force in DSP, but I
don't feel that it has been pushed by the rest of the class yet. There
are a number of FWD cars that are up and coming now that I think can
seriously give the fiat a run for the money. Just like the Elan has to
work to keep ahead of the tripoint RX-7 and Curt's 911. There are a
number of cars in ASP that probably have the potential to trophy, even
win, but alot of them haven't been developed to the extent that the
Tripoint car or Curt's 911 have. Those cars represent the pinnacle of
development in that class right now (IMHO) and I think it's simply a
matter of some of the other cars building up to that level.
Then again, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong...
