Hi,

Today I got a pair of Hoosier 225/45/15 tires for the
front of my RS. They are WIDE!!! Seems like they would be
perfect on an 8" rim. Specs say 7-9". Has anyone run them
successfully (or not!) on a 7" rim?? I could run them on an 8
for autox, but would be tough and twitchy on the track with all
that offset (8s have the extra inch on the outside).

Last year I ran 225/50/16 on the front but wanted to try the shorter tires
for lowering the car, shorter sidewall, and less weight. I will use
245/45/16 on the rear for now (may try the 275/34 on the rear for autox
later in the year).

I may try to get them mounted Thurs, my tire guy will surely freak out
though...
