I must agree with Jeff here. The snow solo was a blast!!! I'm the
one with the fishtailing MR2 in the pictures. I'm positive that I was never,
ever actually going straight at any point on course. Most of my time was
spent with the car trying to swap ends. The Toyo FZ4 tires on the car, while
great on wet pavement and surprisingly grippy on ice, are terrible in snow.
Absolutely no traction! Every corner was the same scenario, big understeer
going in cause I was going too fast and fishtailing like crazy off the
corner cause I got impatient mid-corner and got on the throttle way too
early. But it sure was fun!! I even took all four of the alotted fun runs at
the end of the event!!
BTW, the Chevy Panel van beat most of the RWD field!!!
Oh, and for those who are TLS members, I think that being beaten by
a Chevy panel van definitely shows how qualified I am to wear TLS #55!!!
Although I did wash the car when I got home :( (There was so much ice caked
up in the front wheel wells, I could only turn the wheel about half way!!!)
