FSAE cars are lumped into A-Mod but you should be aware that they do
not necessarily meet the normal A-Mod rules. If you're going to run,
do get a Solo II rulebook.
Basically FSAE cars do not meet the minimum weight or wheelbase
rules for A-Mod. They are specifically mentioned as being allowed
to run if they meet the FSAE rules for whichever year they were originally
built [I've always wondered if someone would drag out a 1993 car
with a suction downforce system...]. It's not much of a competetive
issue since FSAE cars are seriously underpowered compared to the
unlimited A-Mod cars.
