225/50/14 g-Force on front of 1991 MR2

Does anybody have any experience with a 225/50/14 g-Force on the front of a
late model '91 or '92 MR2?  I already had trouble with the R1 of that size
rubbing the struts since I have almost 3 degrees of negative camber.  I
understand that the g-Force is a wider tire than the R1.  Has anybody tried
the 225/50/14 g-Force tires on the front of a '91 or '92 MR2 with lots of
negative camber?  Do they fit with stock wheels and a 1/4" spacer?
