Well, the good news is that it didn't rain on us....
The bad news is that the North Texas CModers didn't show up. :-(
At first I assumed it was because they were scared of the South Texas
drivers and didn't want to get their butts whipped! :-)
Upon further investigation, Bruce's car is apparently in pieces
and Tommy is learning how to fly ('bout time! :). Stuart didn't
know about the date switch and I'm not sure why Phil didn't make
the trip. So that left us with only four drivers.
My car developed a backfire under load and I think I've traced
it to bad points. I guess I need to investigate the electronic
ignition replacement. More $$$ down the hole.
Rob Snyder showed up in grid with new tires against my Nationals
tires. I failed to convince him to switch to the rain tires, just
to be on the safe side.
Andrew Morey & Kevin Lanier are a couple of nice guys in a very
nice '87 Swift SE on Goodyears who learned they need to be more
aggressive drivers. Rob & I encouraged them to switch to Hoosiers
and to take the next Evolution school. I look forward to watching
them get faster.
Now I guess I need to spend the summer tweaking the car and practice,
practice, practice!
