Phil,
If you're not getting heat, then it is most likely your heater valve is U/S.
Check movement at the valve (up high on engine bay bulkhead, in front of
bonnet catch), with a buddy working control from the dash. Even if you get
movement, it could be busted inside.
Blower efficiency is another problem, as it is never great. I think later
models at least have 2 speeds, so check your wiring to make sure you're getting
the high setting.
