Another trick to center the needle:
start the engine, and loosen the larger nut a few turns, while the engine is 
idleing, then retighten the nut, works every time.
just a note, be sure the O-ring around the nut is in good condition before 
tring this, as you do NOT want a fuel leak on the exaust manifold, if not soft 
and pliable replace the O-ring
