As far as shipping engines, transmisisons, etc, look under "Trucking" in the
yellow pages. They charge by the pound. They require that the engines be
free of oil, and fairly clean. They also require that the gear be banded
down. I recently shipped a complete engine with all accessories, 1 complete
transmission, and one block with crank. It was a little over 500 pounds. It
cost about $200. They unloaded it with a frklift from my truck at their
yard, and the buyer picked it up. If it goes door to door, add $45 at each
end. This is an easy way to ship parts. Lou
