I received a very interesting e-mail a few nights ago from Filippo Theodoli's
son. Theodoli was the owner/driver of this car that is now owned by our friend
Bob Avery in Kentucky. We will be featuring this car at Invasion II in June.
He was very excited to learn of his fathers cars existance and was also very
eager to share information about the car's history. Immeadiately picked up the
phone and called Steve Silverstein!!!
It appears that Filippo passed away about 10 years ago and I remembered that
Bob Avery suspected this might be the case. This new contact will without a
doubt open the door for new information regarding this spectacular racing
Alpine. This will indeed be an exciting car to have on display for ther June
event.
I also wanted to a add that I forgot to post the Youth/Child admission rate for
Invasion II to the web site. It has now been updated along with the current
Holiday Inn reservation information at either sunbeamalpine.org or saoca.org.
The rates for children are: 12 and under FREE, 13 - 18 $10.00 for the full
weekend. One SAOCA membership will cover your spouce and Kids up to 18 at the
discounted club rate. I hope to see you all in June and I promise to stay
