2 ways.

1) Get a voltmeter, and measure the gauge supply terminal voltage
with respect to ground (case wire daisy chain).
Should measure about +10v average V.
If you use an analog meter the reading might be noisy
due to the nature of how the voltage stabilizer works.
A digital meter should read stabile readings.


2) Remove the voltage stabilizer, and connect raw +12v (batt+) voltage
to the gauge supply terminals, and verify if the gauges now read more
or less correctly, they gauges wont be very accurate, but should display
close to real numbers.  If it does, the voltage stabilizer needs replacing.



Some time back I designed a solid state replacement for the mechanical
voltage stabilizer, and Sergio Dimarmo put it in his car.

1) Is it all still working?

2) Why dont you call anymore (we miss you).
