Chrome or stainless

Hi all piners,

Is the brightwork for the windscreen surround as well as the rear tailights
stainless or chrome? mine has been stored for the last 2.5 years and I am
almost at the stage where I will need to attend to the items. I seem to recall
there are some dents and minor blemishes on the brightwork. If it is stainless
what is recommended for bringing back that killer shine ?
