Last Friday I received a sample of our Invasion T-shirt and I was very happy
with the result. I told them to begin production and asked for an immediate
delivery to cover the orders that have already been placed. I want to get these
mail orders sent out to everyone ASAP. I hope to get mail orders sent next
week. Just wanted to update everyone on the progress and I thank everyone who
has ordered.
I also want to remind everyone that May 8th is the deadline for pre
registration. I know there are still a lot of you out there who are planning to
attend who have not yet registered. After May 8th the price for registration
goes up $5... so PLEASE pre register. This helps us to plan on the number of
people to have food and tables for.
I also want to point out that we will be giving away 5 one hundred dollar gift
certificates to Classic Sunbeam Auto Parts and 1 five hundred dollar gift
certificates to Sunbeam Specialties as door prizes. ONLY registered adults will
be entered into this drawing, so you have to be there to get in on the action!
There will be plenty of other great door prizes as well... so please register
early! Winning one of these gift certificates could go a long way to help with
your Alpines restoration! It could be you!
To date, we have a lot of interesting Rootesmobiles scheduled to participate at
the Invasion. This includes Harrington (including a Dove), Humber Super Snipe,
Hillman Husky, Hillman Minx, Plymouth Cricket, Commer Sleepervan, and Sunbeam
Imp. This will be a great opportunity to show off your Rootes car and as always
the more Alpines the merrier! Oh yah... Tigers are more than welcome too :-)
We have also had a tremendous response from parts vendors and want to remind
everyone that we will be having an orphan parts auction. If you have a part
that you think someone may want... please bring it with you. The auction is
free and YOU get to keep the $$$.
