Well,

I never thought I'd actually consider it, but the purchase of our first
home has changed my thinking somewhat, so I thought I'd check out
interest. I am still not sure I'll sell it.

Many of you know my SV, which appears on The Classic Sunbeam Owner's
site. The car is a '67 Series V with overdrive, British Racing Green.
The engine is heavily modified and puts out somewhere between
115-125hp. It is freshly restored and won 2nd place in the Stock
Concours and 2nd in the Personalized Autocross at SUNI 3 last year.
The car is NOT stock and should have been shown Personalized, but it
was my first show, oh well. This car is one of the nicest Alpines
you'll see anywhere. You could pluck your nose hairs in the paint
finish. It has Minator wheels (14") with 195/60 Pirrelli P600's, Spax
shocks. Everything is new that could be. Everything works. It has a
Smith's clock, a Sunbeam radio and a modern Alpine AM/FM cassette with
6 CD changer (ingeniously installed for easy access behind the passeger
footwell) and five speakers (10" subwoofer in trunk), powered by a 400
watt MTX 5 channel amp. I have an extra windshield and numerous other
parts, too many to list. If you are interested, I will go over the
specific mods.

There a few flaws in this car. They are: minor chips and scratches in
the paint, fixable. One very small ding (smaller than a pinky nail) on
the left rear fender. The gearbox needs new synchros (I have) and is
noisy. Spot welds broke on bootlid hinge, replaced with stainless
steel screws.

I have about $20,000 in receipts, not to mention the 8.5 years of time
I put into it. I am thinking the car is worth between $11,000 &
12,000, but I could be living in La-La Land. I will entertain offers,
but I emphasize that I have not firmly decided to sell. I'm trying to
gauge interest and value on the car.
