I recently bought three (count'em) units, one for my '53 Saloon, one for my
'54 Alpine and one for another guy's '54 Alpine. It turned out the
Alpines, being later models, had a different distributor from the Saloon.
I took the two units, and the distributor, to Rocky Sherer at Pertronix and
he found they had a kit to fit the later distributors. It proved to be a
simple exchange, and they were nothing but cheerful about taking care of my
problem. While none of the units have been installed yet, Rocky is very
cooperative and easy to deal with.
