Hi folks,

I was a member of the list for several years when I owned a Series V in the
Washington, DC area. A little over a year ago, I moved to San Diego.
Before moving, I sold the Alpine as well as a Marcos that I owned, figuring
there would be lots of nice cars in SoCal. After arriving, I briefly owned
an Alfa Giulietta spider. For various reasons, that experience did not work
out so well. I have sold the car and I'm now in the market for something
new. I'm hoping to find another Alpine. But I'd really like something with
a back seat big enough for a child. I have a four-year-old now, and I'd
really like to get a fun car that can accommodate her. I can't remember if
the standard Alpine back seat is big enough. But I recall that there was a
GT model with no soft top that may have had a slightly larger back seat.
Being in San Diego, I could certainly get by without a convertible top. So
I'd be interested in any leads on nice Alpines, particularly a GT. I am
interested in a nice driver, neither a basket case nor a fully restored car.
I want something that I can drive right away. Minor problems, particularly
of the cosmetic variety, are no problem. And overdrive would be great!
