I recently gave up on the original stone strainer air cleaners. I
have a Series 4, but the engine is a Series 5 with Series 3 downdraft
carbs. I got a pair of Speedograph chrome air cleaners. They look
great (I think) filter out alot more, are a washable sponge element,
and run quieter. The only downside is a (VERY) slight loss in
response due to less air flow. Is there any other down side anyone
knows of?
