Grant---Seems like you'll have to raise the car to get to the oil drain plug,
so that would make it more accessible to get to the two bolts that secure the
slave cylinder. I recall others who merely tip the (spin-on) oil canister, so
it's not necessary to remove the slave.
If you still have the original design oil filter, it's not really necessary to
take the filter out thru the bottom. Just turn the housing upside down, wiggle
out the old filter thru the top, wipe out the canister, and put in the new
filter from the top down. This can be a messy job, but after doing it a few
dozen times, it gets easier!

Hi All,

I'm getting ready for an oil change and removing the clutch slave cylinder.
Have people found it easier to remove the clutch slave with the car jacked up
a bit, or flat on the ground?

Best,
Grant Kester
