They were always a poor man's sports car. Maintenence was indifferent if at
all. When those guys married their girlfriends and she got pregnant the TR6
just wasn't "practical" anymore.
Nowadays in our area when you show up at an event, you can often find Chip &
Muffy sitting in the shade eating marinated melon balls. When they talk about
working on their car, they mean "where to take it".
There are a few serious wrenches around. Most of them do their own work out
of a sense of enjoyment and they want to control the quality of the work.
