Dave, I believe these badges are a push fit into small plastic inserts that
have a flange on them that stop them from being pushed all the way through a
hole. You push the inserts into suitably sized holes in the valence and the
pins are a tight fit into the corresponding holes in the inserts so you don't
have to get behind the panel. If you have an "Overdrive" badge that just hangs
underneath on the same two pins on the TRIUMPH badge.

TRF lists the sleeve as part number GHF1532, 28 cents each, you need 2.

Subject: [6pack] Rear Triumph Badge Install

Hey guys....

Anyone ever mounted /re-mounted the TRIUMPH badge to the rear valance?
The badge has two pins/posts on the back, meant for mounting with a push
stop
or some sort of clip. But how in the world can one gain access to the
pin closest to
the driver's side of the car? Its position, once the badge is pushed
into place, is
behind two layers of sheet metal inside and above the right rear tail
light! Beats me!
I can gain access to the pin on the passenger side of the car but not
the other side.
Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated!!!

Thanks,

Dave
