1. I've had tail lights troubles before and was able to fix from the dash
switch and/or just luck.

2. Brought my car into body shop for minor body work and was informed
they tried to make said tail lights function. I replied, "I'll do it
later."

3. Later that week both alternator and battery failed (checked out at
Auto Zone) and to be replaced after I took the car home! Bummer and
    strange.

4. Hooked up new alternator and battery and car runs fine, however...

5. My tail/brake lights are now really screwy and my ignition light stays
on after I turned off ignition key.

6. I took out the bulb and hoped I could live with it. That shows you
how much I know about electrical circuits.

7. Next day the battery was dead.

8. Question: how hard is it to locate a short?
