Hey Seth,
Glad to hear your getting the car ready for road. I have been using the
B&B set up with no problem. If I remember the test results of the old
Buckeye site the B&B had slightly better clamping force. I am also using
a Fidanza aluminum flywheel & Gunst bearing. This combination has worked
perfectly & I will admit that I have abused it on a regular basis.
I did have a problem with a rebuilt B&B pressure plate & Koyo bearing
previously used. I have never used Luk clutch so I can't give you a
fair comparison between the two. It's important to make sure the
pressure plate surface is good, no leaking fluids are contaminating the
disc & the pressure plate is installed securely to the flywheel. As Dick
Taylor suggested, it's time to make a change because the Luk has not
worked well for you. The B&B's are readily available & so is the Gunst
bearing, give it a shot. The B&B should handle the power with out a problem.
Get it done soon & we'll abuse them together on Ocean parkway this
spring !!!
