FWIW, almost everything is different on the MGB between wires and solid. The 
hubs are completely 
different both front and rear and even the rear axles are different. Although 
Moss sells a 
conversion kit which special rear hubs that will allow you use wires with the 
solid wheel rear axle.

It's all pretty expensive too. The hubs are $140.00 each. I should buy new hubs 
with the new wheels 
to get matching good splines. Ugh. I think the TR hub extension were $140.00 
for a set of 4.

So that's what made me think you meant different hubs.
