Sounds like the blinker is bad, not the switch.

Does anyone know what happens when a directional indicator switch goes
bad? Right now, if I signal left or right
the light on the dash and the exterior lights just stay on; they do not
blink on & off. Do I just have to replace the
switch, or can it be another problem?
