Well, 6 steps forward, two steps back.

I'd isolated a short in my turn-signal wiring to the steering column cutting
through the insulation on one of the wires... I wrote 6-pack (before thinking)
and asked where to get heat-shrink tubing. that's now on, I go and install
the switch then give it a mechanical test and it doesn't stay down in the left
turn position... one of the black retaining clips has fallen off. this has
happened over the last 4 days and I don't know where.. YES, I've looked.

Does anyone have an old useless switch laying around that would be willing to
part with the lower (when installed) clip? (I don't know of they are the
same)

I can pay of course. I just hate to have to buy a new switch (or not have
true turn signal use) because of this simple piece of metal.

mine's a 72 by the way

Chris David.

By the way, I ordered the Masters manual via 6-pack so thanks to everyone who
reminded me of the author's name.

Have I said I love it here?
